The genuinely cheap route is the 901 SmartBus, which runs on a normal Myki fare and links the airport to the suburban rail network; from the city that means a Craigieburn line train to Broadmeadows and then the bus, around an hour in total for a full Myki fare of AUD 5.70 (halved to AUD 2.85 until 1 January 2027 under the Victorian half-price fares offer) plus AUD 6 for the card itself. Taxis and rideshare run from the kerbside at each terminal, with the CBD costing about AUD 70-75. Beyond the metropolitan area, Gull Airport Service runs coaches to Geelong 170 times a week from a stand in front of Terminal 3.
