Buying tickets in Milan
The Malpensa Express (Trenord) links both terminals to Milano Cadorna and Centrale for €15. Buy at station machines or the Trenord app, and validate a paper ticket before boarding. Easiest is Pay&Go: tap a contactless Mastercard, Visa or Amex on the turnstile when you enter and again when you exit, with no ticket to buy. Regional Trenord trains also serve the route on the same tap system.
Taxi scams & safety in Milan
The official taxi is a flat, regulated €110 to central Milan from either terminal, identical day or night with no surcharges. The licensed rank is at Gate 6 in Terminal 1 and Gate 4 in Terminal 2; take the first white car in line and never follow anyone soliciting inside arrivals. Only Uber Black-style VTC operates in Italy, so standard app cabs are limited and cost more than the fixed fare.
