HKG runs from one large terminal (Terminal 1) at present, with all ground transport gathered on the Arrivals level and the adjoining Ground Transportation Centre. The MTR Airport Express is the headline link: non-stop to Tsing Yi (~12 min), Kowloon (~21 min) and Hong Kong Station in Central (~24 min), running every 10 minutes from 05:54 to 00:48. Octopus fares are HK$105 to Kowloon and HK$120 to Hong Kong Station (HK$115 and HK$130 with a single ticket); an in-town shuttle bus to major hotels is offered free with an Airport Express ticket, though its coverage has changed since 2020, so confirm the current route list on arrival. Cheaper are the airport A-route buses — Citybus's A11 threads across northern Hong Kong Island (Central, Wan Chai, Causeway Bay) for HK$41.9, its A21 covers Kowloon (Mong Kok, Tsim Sha Tsui, Hung Hom) for HK$34.6, and Long Win's A41 heads to Sha Tin in the New Territories for HK$23.4. For Lantau itself the S1 shuttle bus links the airport to Tung Chung MTR station for around HK$4. Taxis queue by colour: red urban cabs to the city (the airport's guide fares are about HK$260–295 to most of Kowloon and HK$360–380 to Central, Wan Chai and Causeway Bay), green to the New Territories, blue to Lantau destinations only.
