Dubrovnik Airport has no rail connection of any kind, so every journey is by road. The workhorse is the Platanus (Atlas) airport shuttle bus, which is timed to flights rather than a fixed clock — a coach waits in the car park and pulls out about 30 minutes after each arrival, running to the Old Town's Ploče Gate (~30 min) and then the Gruž main bus station beside the port (~35 min) for €10 one-way / €15 return. Local Libertas suburban buses, chiefly line 10 toward Cavtat, are cheaper still but do not start at the terminal, so reaching them means first riding the shuttle into the city and doubling back. Taxis wait at the official rank outside Arrivals with airport-zone fares posted on a board (around €30-35 to the Old Town), and most take cash only. Pre-booked private transfers meet you inside Arrivals at a fixed all-in price, and the terminal has the usual car-hire desks — popular for reaching the Pelješac peninsula or the Dubrovnik Riviera villages north of the city.
