Faro Airport has no rail link of its own; the closest station is in Faro city, roughly 4 km away, reached first by bus or taxi. The everyday airport buses are run by Próximo/Vamus: line 16 loops into central Faro in about 20 minutes for a couple of euros, and in summer (May–October) the Aerobus lines 56 and 57 head straight west down the coast to Albufeira, Lagoa, Portimão and Lagos.
