Paphos International Airport ground transport

Paphos is the small airport, and that shapes everything about getting out of it. Where Larnaca has a coach network built around arrival banks, PFO has two OSYPA bus routes and a taxi rank. Route 612 is the useful one: it runs down to the harbour at Kato Paphos, where most of the hotels and restaurants are, in about half an hour for €1.50, though even in the holiday season departures are spaced around seventy minutes apart. Route 613 climbs to Karavella bus station in Ktima, the older upper town, for the same fare — but it leaves roughly four times a day, at around 08:00, 10:00, 16:30 and 19:00, so it only works if your flight happens to land in the right window. Anything beyond Paphos itself means changing buses in town or not using them at all, which is why the taxi rank does far more business here than at LCA. The upside is that Paphos taxis work to published tariffs rather than open-ended meters: roughly €24.30 to Coral Bay in daylight and €28.67 after 20:30, €42.77 to Polis rising to €50.18, and €46.27 to Limassol rising to €54.26. Pre-booked transfers price against those numbers and usually land close to them, winning on certainty rather than cost. Car hire is unusually popular at Paphos because the west is the part of Cyprus that genuinely needs a car — the Akamas peninsula, the Troodos back roads and the wine villages are all out of practical bus range. Drive on the left, and expect the red plates that mark you out as a visitor.
