Buying tickets in Thira
Santorini uses KTEL public buses. The airport line runs to Fira (the main hub) in about 10 minutes for roughly €2.20 one-way. There is no machine or booth: you buy from the conductor or driver onboard, one-way only, and it is cash in euros, so carry small notes and coins. Card acceptance is still rare on the island, so do not rely on it. From Fira you change for buses to Oia, Perissa and other villages.
