Buying tickets in Paris
The RER B and the Île-de-France airport train ticket costs €14 and covers all zones 1 to 5 for two hours across RER, Metro and Transilien. Buy it at station machines, the Île-de-France Mobilités app, or load it on a Navigo Easy card. Keep the ticket to open the exit barriers. Note that Roissybus was discontinued on 1 March 2026, so there is no longer a direct express bus to central Paris.
Taxi scams & safety in Paris
Official taxis charge a fixed €56 to the Right Bank or €65 to the Left Bank, flat day and night, from the signed rank outside arrivals. The persistent touts inside the terminal, often flashing homemade "official" badges, quote €120 to €200 for the same trip; walk past them. Uber, Bolt and FreeNow are all legal here, but you must collect them at the designated ride-hailing pickup points, not at the taxi rank.
Step-free access in Paris
Charles de Gaulle itself is well equipped; the variable is which rail service you continue on.
- CDGVAL, the free automatic shuttle between terminals and the CDG2 TGV/RER station, is fully step-free: platform screen doors, lifts to every platform level and level boarding onto the trains.
- TGV from the Terminal 2 station is the easiest onward option — a single lift ride down from the terminal, then one train with no change.
- RER B stations run by RATP are equipped with lifts to the platforms, but accessibility across the line is not uniform, and the interchange at Châtelet–Les Halles involves long passages. If you are using a wheelchair or travelling with a lot of luggage, the direct TGV or a road transfer will be considerably less work.

Getting from CDG to Disneyland Paris
Most people arriving at Charles de Gaulle assume getting to Disneyland means a long coach ride or a taxi fare that stings. It does not. The two are 38 km apart, but there is a direct TGV that covers it in about ten minutes, and a great many families never find it, because it leaves from a station most arrivals never walk past.
The ten-minute train almost nobody books
Charles de Gaulle has its own high-speed rail station, Aéroport Charles de Gaulle 2 TGV, sitting directly under Terminal 2. From there, TGV INOUI and OUIGO services run straight to Marne-la-Vallée–Chessy, the station at the gates of the resort — the park entrance is a two-minute walk from the platform. Journey time is 10 to 11 minutes, and around 24 trains a day make the trip. Booked ahead, fares start near €11.
Nothing else on this route comes close on speed, and very little beats it on price. There are two conditions attached, and they are the reason it is not automatically the right answer for everyone.
First, the train leaves from Terminal 2. If you land at Terminal 1 or Terminal 3, you must ride the free CDGVAL shuttle across to T2 first — allow 15 to 20 minutes for that hop plus the walk down to the platforms.
Second, and more importantly: a TGV ticket is tied to a specific departure. It is a reserved seat on a named train, not a ticket that lets you travel whenever you appear. If your flight lands late, or immigration is slow, or a bag takes forty minutes to reach the belt, that train leaves without you and a cheap advance fare is simply lost. Leave a genuine cushion — two hours after your scheduled landing is sensible, more at peak season, or accept that you may be buying a second ticket.
Magical Shuttle: slower, but it waits for you
The Magical Shuttle is the coach built for exactly this journey, running between CDG and the Disney hotels and partner hotels. It costs €24 for an adult, takes about an hour depending on how many hotels it calls at, and departs roughly every 45 minutes from around 09:00 to 18:45.
On paper the TGV beats it on every measure. In practice the coach wins in one situation that matters enormously to families: it does not punish a late flight. Miss one departure and the next is three quarters of an hour away. It also drops you at your hotel door rather than at a station, which counts for a lot when you are pushing a buggy and towing four cases. Note the operating window, though — if you land in the evening, the shuttle has stopped for the day.
The cheap way, and what it costs you
Going by RER is the budget route: RER B from the airport into Paris, change to RER A, out to Marne-la-Vallée–Chessy. It is around €14 and takes roughly 80 minutes if the connection falls kindly.
Be clear about what you are taking on, though. The change happens in central Paris — Châtelet–Les Halles, one of the busiest interchanges in Europe, with long tunnels and stairs that are unforgiving with luggage. With children and suitcases, at rush hour, this is a hard journey for the sake of saving a few euros over a ten-minute train. Take it if you are travelling light and unhurried; think twice otherwise.
When to just take a car
A metered Paris taxi runs about €75–€95 and takes roughly 50 minutes when the A4 behaves. Unlike the fixed-fare runs into central Paris, this journey is on the meter, so traffic goes straight onto your bill.
A pre-booked transfer is €80–€110 at a price agreed in advance, with the driver tracking your flight and meeting you in arrivals. For a family of four or five it stops being a luxury and starts being arithmetic: four TGV tickets bought late, plus the stress of a fixed departure after a delayed flight, can land in the same territory, and the car takes you to the hotel door at whatever hour you arrive.
Car hire makes sense only if you plan to leave the resort during your stay. Otherwise you will pay €45–€90 a day for a car that sits in a paid hotel car park while you walk everywhere.
Choosing between them
If your flight lands with time to spare and you are not carrying half a household, book the TGV — ten minutes, from about €11, and you walk out almost at the park gates. If you are arriving late in the day, travelling with small children, or simply cannot risk a missed connection, take the Magical Shuttle at €24 and let it wait for you. Use the RER only if you are light on luggage and heavy on patience. Take a car when there are four or more of you, or when you are landing at an hour when nothing else is running.
