You ride the T8 to Central, then change onto the T4 Eastern Suburbs line, which deposits you at Kings Cross station, and the exit spills you straight out onto the Potts Point café strip, which feels almost too convenient to be an accident. Trains run every six to ten minutes across a long day, roughly 4:20am to 12:55am, so unless your flight lands in the small hours you'll rarely wait. If you land after the trains have gone quiet, past one in the morning, give or take, the taxi rank and a pre-booked car are your only realistic doors home, and both run around the clock.
